Julian was the kind of guy that always had an instamatic camera at school. He was given his first real camera when he was about 11.

Two years at Natal Institute of Technology after Matric further honed his skills and a passion for the lens was born. Julian was the official hospitality photographer for the Rugby World Cup in 1995 – that was his first big break and from then on the jobs kept rolling in.
A day can be as varied as photographing underground machinery in a platinum mine in the morning, shooting the Special Olympics athletes with Nelson Mandela in the afternoon and in the evening shooting Fame at the State Theatre Pretoria. Julian’s portfolio spans people, places, platefuls, performances, play, publications, pieces and products.

Anything is possible.
